PRO-MIX® CX
Coir Grow Bags
Choose the packaging that fits your needs. Eco-One® bags (polythene bags) contain an organic additive that enhances the natural biodegradation process when disposed of in a biologically active landfill, while our plant-based bags deliver the same coir quality, consistency and performance as PRO-MIX® CX in an innovative packaging solution.
Ingredients
Inert ingredients
Coir - chunk, Coir - pith
Better by Design
Drain Slits
Two on each side, allowing excess water to escape, preventing root rot and promoting air circulation around the roots.
Dripper Holes
Precut holes on each corner to easily insert your dripping system resulting in a quicker expansion and more effective watering.
Indent Hole
A preformed center hole creates an opening upon expansion, making the transplanting process faster and easier.

New packaging option
The same coir quality, consistency and performance as PRO-MIX® CX, now available in an innovative plant-based packaging solution made from coco fiber, natural latex and plant-based ink, providing greater breathability than traditional plastic.

Certifications
We make sure our products meet recognized standards for quality, safety and performance.
Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI)
The Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) supports organic integrity by providing organic certifiers, growers, manufacturers, and suppliers an independent review of products intended for use in certified organic production, handling, and processing.
Eco One (polythene bag)
Eco-One® is an organic additive that, when incorporated into the plastic product, enhances the natural biodegradation process when disposed of in a biologically active landfill.
Control Union Certified
The GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) for a coir manufacture certification signifies that Premier Tech follows strict guidelines for quality, safety, and consistency in its production processes, ensuring a reliable coir.
SMETA
Sedex Member Ethical Trade Audit (SMETA) is an ethical audit methodology that evaluates an organization's ethical, socialm HS and enviromental practices in its supply chain
Control Union Verified ISO 14064-1:2018
ISO 14064 is a voluntary standard for greenhouse gas verification that can be applied by any organization. It supports companies in monitoring, reporting, and reducing their greenhouse gas emissions, helping them improve their overall carbon footprint.
Find answers to frequently asked questions here.
Will hydration and drainage properties remain the same for both Eco-One® plastics and plant-based packaging options?
Yes, since the coir product inside is the same, hydration and drainage performance are maintained. The main difference is that the plant-based packaging will dry a little more easily because of the additional space available for the root to grow.
What is the recommended maximum dryback % during mid-flower crop steering?
~30% for a strong generative approach
~15–20% for a standard approach
Note: The plant-based packaging may cause your plant/media system to dry back slightly faster due to increased drainage and aeration, so monitor closely.
Will the PRO-MIX® CX plant-based packaging break down during the grow cycle?
Extensive testing has shown no visual or measurable degradation in:
- Growth rooms over 12+ weeks (including commercial trials)
- Greenhouse environments over 6+ months
You can grow with confidence; the bag holds up throughout the entire cycle.
What is the airflow like in the PRO-MIX® CX plant-based packaging, and how does it benefit the root zone?
The PRO-MIX® CX plant-based packaging features very small apertures that facilitate the exchange of both water and air, in contrast to the plastic bags. We have measured increased exchange of water and air and effective root colonization within the plant-based bags, providing additional space for root development, creating a preferential environment for air and water to exchange.
Does PRO-MIX® CX plant-based packaging respond to water the same way as the Eco-One® plastics when fluffing up?
Yes! Both bags contain the same coco material, so the hydration process is the same. However, growers should keep in mind that when using PRO-MIX® CX in plant-based packaging, the bag must be fully opened and remain open during watering. Since there are no drainage holes at the bottom, the coco may take a little more time to fully absorb water and expand when watering from the bottom.
